How we got here is nothing short of miraculous.
The Land Rover Series III concept started in 2017 when a few of us formed the Hong Kong Camel Trophy R/C Club wanting to build Camel Trophy Landys. We challenged each other to build the Series III, the immediate predecessor of the Defender, and were used in the early Camel Trophy expeditions. There were many hurdles to building a Series III; parts were lacking, and there wasn’t a chassis with the right setup for the recessed grill. Most importantly, we were missing the body. The idea of releasing a Series III vehicle was farfetched at the time, but it laid the groundwork for us to eventually acquire the license from Land Rover.
In 2019, I met a gentleman named Andy Lowery at the Ultimate Scale Truck Expo. Although we had just met, I immediately found myself engaging in deep conversations about model truck building with Andy. Him being a lifelong model builder, our conversations reignited the fire within me to produce the missing Series III parts.
When we released the BRX02 Leaf chassis, scale enthusiasts around the world immediately asked for the Series III because of the scale accuracy, since all Series Land Rovers ran leaf spring suspensions. With the BRX02 being a robust machine, it would make perfect sense to pair them together.
The sequence of releasing this truly amazing product took many years to develop and to become a reality. The builders have spoken, and the rest is history. We are beyond excited to share the Boom Racing Land Rover Series III with our fellow hobbyists across the world!

The BRX02 transmission uses a 28T 32 Pitch spur gear made from carbon composite plastic. The pinion gear can be changed from 9T to 14T.
The second gear rotates approximately 2.2 times faster than the first gear. Drivers can notice a significant increase in speed shifting from first to second gear.
A Bolt-On Kit means parts of the chassis are pre-assembled and require minor assembly for completion. The factory assembled parts offer convenience for builders eager to get started.
The BRX02 kit includes factory pre-built axles, transmission, transfer case and shocks. Shocks require oil to be filled (included).
