This part replaces the axle lockout on the rear axle and helps to strengthen and protect the axle from breaking.

Upgrading this area of the axle helps if your wheel nut becomes loose, then the axle pin won’t melt the edge of the stock plastic lockout. It also has a tighter tolerance and won’t bend under extreme situations.
